the departed .

i don’t have internet (once again) so i’m blogging in one of my lectures. hooray for free wireless internet at uni! it’s probably a bit weird for the people sitting behind me reading this, or even the people sitting next to me, but i don’t care.

i’m going to try to get my net back as soon as possible, but at the moment it doesn’t seem very likely because i’m a poor student that isn’t able to afford anything apart from rent and food. that’s right, i said rent. because i’ve finally achieved my freedom, and am now paying a hundred and fourty dollars a week for it. applause please.

possibilities .

i’m sitting at hong kong airport, blogging on my shiny new black viao courtesy of their free wi-fi internet. it’s exciting, kind of.

ironically, the chinese government’s firewall has blocked out my blog, which means i can’t access it while i’m in shanghai. i’m hoping that windows live writer will solve the problem.

hong kong is the most amazing place. the shopping here is fantastic, and i’ve heard that it’s because of the lack of tax that it’s so cheap. yay for free trading governments.

i’m tired though, and my new laptop’s battery dies in about 20 minutes, which means i should probably get going. just popping in to say hi, and that i miss you all, and that hopefully i should still be able to blog from now on. and if not, i just wasn’t clever enough.

i feel like i haven’t blogged in a million years. i’ve been missing this place, but i couldn’t help it since i didn’t have net for the last week and a half. you won’t even begin to understand how it feels, you there, sitting in front of your computer, surfing the net, chatting on msn. you haven’t been through the pain i’ve been through. unless of course you have.

the need for internet is a weird thing. once you’re addicted, and once you begin relying on it for everything, withdrawal symptoms are inevitable. everything is on the internet. friends, invitations, information, events… life…

confession .

soundtrack: cats yowling outside // thoughts: about the internet

there’s something rivetting about having your own space on the internet. anyone can stumble upon it, take a peek into your life, and then move on, forgetting you ever existed. obviously, you hope to catch their attention by providing extremely interesting stuff in your space, and you live in hope that they’ll return and boost your views. yay for wanting to be popular.

i’m a bit confused as to why people are like this though. why does one write as if everyone in the world could be reading it, and tell of their innermost feelings? do people secretly desire to be understood? or do they just want to rant about their shit?…
